Un nuevo álbum de They Might Be Giants llegará más rápido de lo que esperábamos. BOOK, el LP 22 de larga duración de la banda , saldrá el 29 de octubre. Como vista previa de la próxima música, TMBG ha compartido un video surrealista para el sencillo sencillo, “I Can’t Remember the Dream”.
BOOK, el álbum, se anuncia como un faro de luz en medio de un período de tiempo bastante unánimemente áspero; Como describe John Linnell de la banda, sus canciones son “graciosamente relacionadas con la catástrofe que ocurre a nuestro alrededor”. “I Can’t Remember The Dream” encaja perfectamente con este propósito y detalla todos los beneficios de un sueño placentero: “I can’t remember the dream that I had last night/ But I woke with delight and excitement/ And then when I tried to remember the dream that I had last night/ It was gone, but the feeling I had in the dream stayed on.”El video irónico de la canción fue dirigido y editado por Alex Italics.
Llegando junto al álbum esta … ¿quién lo hubiera imaginado? – un libro de arte adjunto, que recopila fotografías y diseños gráficos. BOOK, el libro, tiene 144 páginas de imágenes impresionantes en una tapa dura encuadernada en tela. Se hizo en colaboración con el antiguo compañero de trabajo de TMBG, el diseñador gráfico Paul Sahre, así como con el fotógrafo callejero de Brooklyn Brian Karlsson.
